This page commemorates the achievements of the Watton-At-Stone Reserve Team
in reaching the final of the Division Three Cup for the Hertford and District
Football League.

The final was held at Letchworth Football Club.

Despite being a very cold night both sides were well supported by a large
and vocal crowd.

The game proves to be a tight encounter with few clear cut chances.
However the deadlock is finally broken midway through the second half
when Jim Hodgson fires home after being put clear through on goal.

The last fifteen minutes prove to be a tense affair and many of the younger players
succumb to cramp and fatigue.
Everyone however battles on bravely and the final whistle is greeted with a chorus
of cheers and whistles..........the celebrations can now begin !!!!!
